ACTION PLAN

The goal that I would want to be focus on the most right now would be improving my time management skill. By managing my time wisely, I would be able to go through my university life easier with minimum pressure and stress. However, I am sure there might be some difficulties when I’m working toward this goal. Assignments given will be one of the challenges. I have to organize and allocate my time properly so that I can complete my assignments on time while I have enough time to relax too. This would help me to endure all the stress in university that is bound to face as I could achieve balance between studying and amusement.

Upon entering SAM in March 2014, I first familiarize myself with the new study environment. Then, by August 2014, I had to submit all my assignments to be evaluated. Therefore, I always had to manage my time wisely so that I can complete and submit my assignments within the time frame given. After that, I had my FINAL examination on November 2014. I created a well-organized timetable that help me to improve in my studies and so I could have a minimum ATAR score of 90.0. Upon completing my finals I started to search and apply for universities. My action plan can only be carried out once I enrol into university by next year, around March 2015. I am sure I would actively join different societies or clubs to improve my social skills and also confidence level. And also while joining different societies or clubs, I could also ask for others opinions and ways in allocating their leisure time. I would discuss with them about time managing to come out with a better plan in managing my own time. By doing so, I believe I would be able to accomplish my goal to be a more organized person in the end of the year in December 2015.

To assist me in achieving my goal, I believe my family members play a very important role. My father and my mother always teach me ways to manage and organize my leisure time. They are my role-model as they always show us good examples in their daily life. Aside from my father and mother, my elder sisters play an important role in helping me while I’m preparing my time table too. As they are elder than me, they have more experiences when it comes to organising an excellent well-organised timetable. They always give me advices, guide me and help me out together with my timetable.

Obstacles that can prevent me from achieving my goal is my easily distracted characteristic. I am easily distracted by other media and lose my focus. I do not know how to complete things in my priority. For instance, I would not follow the time table that I have created and I would always find myself doing other things such as playing computer games, surfing the internet and reading storybooks.

To overcome these problems and achieve my goal, I would need to work harder and be more determined. I will study in school library or my study room to reduce the distraction of environment such as computer, bed or television. I will try my best to concentrate while I am studying. I will also set alarm while I play my computer so that I can stop myself from continue playing and start studying on time.
